Revealing God's Character Through a Growing Relationship with Jesus

Hospitality

As a community of faith we are committed to reflect the character of God through a growing relationship with Jesus by focusing on what matters. The reflection of His character is seen and experienced in many different ways, one of which is the practice of biblical hospitality.

Some ways in which we show love for "what is good" (Titus 1:8) is by welcoming new people into our church family, celebrating a journey of faith through baptism, appreciating people's commitment to serve, encouraging Christian fellowship by affirming those whose journey takes them far away from our church family, and comforting those who have lost a loved one. These celebrations, appreciations and encouragement present a financial expense that you may not be aware of, since it is not explicitly announced.

Through our Hospitality fund we are able to gift monogrammed towels to those who are baptized, as a remembrance of their commitment to Jesus; present gift baskets to members in appreciation to their dedication to be like Jesus in service; eat cake to celebrate with a new convert or say farewell to old friends; and, deliver flowers to friends who are in mourning.

All of the thoughtful gestures mentioned above, and others, are only possible because of the generous contributions of our church members. Please consider giving an offering specifically to the Hospitality fund the next time the Holy Spirit impresses you to worship through giving.
