Revealing God's Character Through a Growing Relationship with Jesus

From the Pastor's Desk (Mar 20)

The sun is out!  Well, at least at the time I am writing this it is.  Hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and all the other beautiful/amazing things of God’s creation!  Here are some up and coming things that we would like for you to have on your radar and calendar:

1.  Be asking God where He wants to use you in the body of Christ.  It takes all of us.  We have many needs and if everyone would step up into sharing their time, skill, and/or just willingness to serve we would have no holes in our ministries.  Below is a list of ministries where you can be involved; my prayer is that you consider where God may be calling you.

Ministries and/or roles needing to be filled at the Monroe Seventh-day Adventist Church:

  1. Children's Ministry Coordinator
  2. Head deacon
  3. More deacons
  4. More deaconesses
  5. People willing to be on the Prayer Ministries team
  6. People willing to be on the Social Committee
  7. Many more......

2.  God is preparing our church for a massive God’s Closet event.  If you doubt that, go check out the closet!  Please take note of the dates mentioned below in the newsletter and put at least one date in your calendar that you would be willing to come and help sort.  We need the help in order to be ready for all the people God is going to bring us.

3.  Celebration of the Birth, Life, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus!  You will want to mark your calendars for Easter Weekend. Friday night we kick off our celebration by having an intimate vespers with music and reading focused on Christ’s birth and life.  We will also be following in Jesus footsteps as we serve one another in the Service of Humility, also known as foot washing.  Join us Friday night, the 29th of March at 7:00 p.m. as we fellowship and enter into Easter Weekend together. Then the next day, Saturday the 30th of March, we will continue our Celebration focusing on Jesus’ death and resurrection.  A beautiful service including communion will be experienced as we come together to rejoice in the only thing that matters - JESUS!
