Heather is a powerhouse. Whether she is teaching youth class, helping out at Sky Valley School, helping lead and Teach small group Bible studies or providing food, support or whatever for all our church activities - Heather is committed to her Jesus and Church. I appreciate so many things about Heather. She is so helpful and willing to be do all she can to support the church and others personally, she is passionate about Jesus and you can see it. I love her friendliness and how everyone wants to be her friend because you can feel the warmth of Jesus and fun exuding from her pores. I also love that she loves food - her and I are soul sisters in this area of life:). Heather, thank you for all you do - your presence alone is a gift to our church - know that you shine Jesus' love in all you do - and you make the Monroe Seventh-day Adventist church what it is - amazing. - Pastor Jen
Heather is my sister in Christ, and I am grateful that I also get to call her a very dear friend. I first met Heather at the very first church event we attended when we moved to Monroe, where she welcomed us with open arms. From swimming lessons to Adventurers to Pathfinders, it has been a privilege to watch her children grow alongside mine and to see them all grow in Jesus together. Heather and her husband Ben have taken my husband Tom and I under their spiritual wings and mentored us into a closer relationship with Jesus. Heather is always willing to take time to pray with you, and doesn’t hesitate to encourage you to go deeper in your walk with God. She is an amazing mentor not just to my children, but to many other at church. I have appreciated her leadership and teaching in children’s and teen Sabbath School, Adventurers, Pathfinders, VBS, School Board and Women’s Bible Study through the years. I have seen more of her vulnerability and authenticity as she stepped through the Foundations Workshops and now in co-leading small group Bible Studies with Ben. I am looking forward to seeing more of how the Lord will lead her in the future! Thank you, Heather, for letting Jesus shine through you each day! - Amy Allen
